Vicki Lynn Squires Lassiter, born the 28th day of February, 1956 in Frankfurt, Germany to Jerry Carson Squires and Leona Jane Shafer Squires. Her childhood led her to numerous military installations with her parents and sisters until her parents settled in Eastland, Texas, in October of 1970.
Vicki attended Eastland High School where she received her GED in 1974. She then attended Cisco Junior College school of Nursing where she graduated, August 1977 with her LVN.
She was preceded in death by parents, Jerry and Leona Squires of Eastland, Texas, Son-in-law, Michael Stewart of Ranger, Texas, and grand-daughter, Chelsea Williams of Ranger, Texas.
Vicki was found to have left her earthly body and gained her angel wings on the 16th day of August, 2023, in her home, in Ranger, Texas.
Vicki left behind sisters: Cynthia Squires Rodgers and husband Tommy Rodgers of Axtell, Texas and Ronda Squires McCowen and husband Rodney McCowen of Round Rock, Texas. Daughters: Barbara Lynnette Squires Tyra and husband Derek Tyra of Keene, Texas, Jennifer Michelle Cagle Williams and husband Jerry Williams of Ranger, Texas, and Shannon DeeAnn Cagle Stewart of Ranger, Texas. Grandchildren: Devin Nelms and wife Leigha Nelms of Burleson, Texas, Derek Nelms of Fort Worth, Texas, Rachel Wray of Keene, Texas, Breanna Tyra of Elgin, Texas, Hailey Tyra of Burleson, Texas, Marcuz Young, Brittany Young, Jerred Williams, Jordan Stephenson, Caylee Stephenson and Ethan Stewart all of Ranger, Texas. Great-Grandchildren: Caden Frazier, Parkyr Nelms, Henslee Hendrix, Jeremiah Summers, Avery and Brentley Wells, Charley and Teagan Young, Brayden, Chase and Taylen Stephenson
Vicki had a green thumb and could grow anything you gave her. She enjoyed camping, noodling, crocheting, dancing, horseback riding, being amongst her friends and drinking a good ol’ cup of Folger’s coffee.
Visitation will be on Sunday, August 20, 2023 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Edward’s Funeral Home, Eastland, Texas. Graveside Service and interment will be at Merriman Cemetery, Monday at 10:00 am, in Ranger, Texas.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas or the American Heart Association.
