Ruby Louise (Carter) Hatton, age 90, went to be with her Heavenly Father, surrounded by loved ones, on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Ranger Care Center in Ranger, TX. She was born in Comanche, TX on December 24, 1933 to Acton E. Carter and Edith Augusta Daniels.

Ruby married the love of her life, Billy Tom “B.T.” Hatton on November 24, 1958 in Breckenridge, TX. They spent 64 beautiful years together and raised three amazing young men and 5 grandchildren, whom they cherished. Ruby had a love for flowers and enjoyed working in her garden tending to them. She loved a tidy, clean home and was a hard worker. She loved going to the Senior dances with Bill and traveling in their motor home to Proctor, TX. Many would know her for her time working as a car-hop at Porky Pigs and as a cashier and stocker for Safeway in Eastland. Ruby was an amazing wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by so many.

Those left to cherish her love and memory are her husband, Billy “B.T.” Hatton of Ranger; sons, Tom Hatton of Ranger,  Ron Hatton of Ft. Worth and Jimmy Hatton and wife Chalis of Ranger; grandchildren, Sam Hatton of Abilene, Caleb Hatton of Edmond, OK, Canyon Hatton of Ranger, and Pistol and Cactus Hatton, both of Ranger; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

She is reunited at the Pearly Gates with her parents and siblings.

Family visitation is scheduled from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Bullock Cemetery.
