STRAWN – Michele C. Hopkins, age 79, of Strawn departed this earth life into the arms of the Lord Thursday, March 23, 2023 surrounded by her family. 

A graveside service will be held Sunday, March 26th at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn at 3:00 PM. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Strawn.

Michele was born May 15, 1943 in Paris, France to Jean Jacques Girard and Catherine Gallet. She married Jack Allen Hopkins on April 9, 1983 in Strawn, Texas. She was blessed to be able to work with children at Travis Elementary in Mineral Wells and at Strawn School,.

She leaves behind a son, Ken Hopkins and wife Mary Ann; a daughter, Kim Shugart and husband Buck; and 6 grandchildren, Kurt, Cody, Aaron, Jennifer, David and Sarah. She is proceeded in death by her parents and husband.
