Linda Marie McLaurin passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2022, in Palo Pinto, Texas. She was born in Harvey, Illinois on October 2, 1962, and was raised in Columbus, Ohio and Arlington, Texas.

Linda is survived by loving husband Larry McLaurin, Son Christopher Spikes; Stepsons Matthew (April), Daniel and Christopher McLaurin; Grandchildren: Kyrus, Logan, Taylor, Aiden, Finley and Maisie; Sister Lisa Wallschlaeger (Paul); Brother Scott Buzby; Nieces Sarah Shepherd (Bradley), and Baylor Buzby; Nephew Nathan Wallschlaeger; Great Nephew Charles Shepherd; Great Niece Elcee Shepherd; Stepfather Jon Salis. Preceded in death by her parents Sandra and Dennis Buzby.

Linda was employed by the Gordon First United Methodist Church as an Administrative Assistant. Linda was also a volunteer for the Palo Pinto County Historical Society, including serving as their board treasurer.

Linda and Larry were in the process of building the “BuckHorn Bar” where she would have entertained many to libations, sports and a beautiful view of the lake. She was passionate about the Ohio State Buckeyes, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. Linda will be remembered as fun and passionate, a true model of the phrase “living your life to the fullest.”

A Memorial Service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Gordon First United Methodist Church, 211 S Main Street, Gordon TX 76543.
