Julia Ann Lopez, age 70, was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and loyal friend. She was called to His eternal resting place on December 13, 2022 in Round Rock, Texas. She entered this world on September 21, 1952 in Dallas, TX, born to Pedro and Carmen Orozco.
Julia married Steve Lopez on July 15, 1978 at St Rita’s Catholic Church in Ranger, Texas. She was a loving mother to Anthony and Nikki. She enjoyed volunteering at her children’s many school and extracurricular activities when they were young. Julia dedicated her career to teaching special needs children at Round Rock Independent School District, and tutored many of her students year-round at her home. She loved taking care of young children and was a longtime nursery caregiver at several churches in the Austin area.
Julia Ann Lopez is survived by her husband Steven Lopez; son, Anthony Lopez, daughter; Nikki Lopez, brothers; Alfredo Orosco and Isaac Orozco, sisters; Ramona May and Josefa Gutierrez and grandchildren; Carolina Franco, Izabella Lopez, and AvaGrace Lopez.
Visitation and Rosary will be Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Eastland, Texas from 6:00 till 8:00 PM. Services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Ranger, Texas at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Eastland City Cemetery in Eastland, Texas
