Judith Kaye Houston, 77, of Eastland, will be lovingly remembered and celebrated for her vibrant spirit and enduring love. She will be welcomed into eternal rest on March 31, 2025, in Brownwood, Texas.
Services to honor Judith’s life will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Daugherty St. Church of Christ, where she cherished singing and fellowship. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will take place at 3:00 PM at Mertzon Cemetery in Mertzon, Texas, where her spirit will be laid to rest.
Born on August 15, 1947, in San Angelo, Texas, Judith was the beloved daughter of Elton Howard and Myrtle Haby Howard. She found her true partner in life when she married Scott Houston on December 27, 1973, in Mertzon, creating a warm and loving home.
Judith’s heart overflowed with love for her family. She was a devoted mother who took immense pride in adopting her two children, David and Erin. She passionately ran adoption seminars for families, sharing her love for children and the joy of family.
An avid dog lover, Judith enjoyed visiting the beach and creating cherished memories with her loved ones. As a member of the Daugherty St. Church of Christ, where she enjoyed singing, she found joy in her faith and the community around her.
Judith is survived by her adoring husband, Scott Houston; her son, David Houston; her daughter, Erin Benson (William); and 3 grandchildren, Brylee, Kendal and Lee, all of whom will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.
