Newly elected Eastland County Judge, David Hullum was administered the oath of office by retired 11th Court of Appeals Chief Justice, First Christian Church pastor, and good friend, Jim Wright. The ceremony occurred on January 1st at the First Christian Church in Eastland where Hullum is the Associate Pastor. The Bible used in the ceremony belonged to Judge Hullum’s grandmother and was held by his wife, Mechelle. Once sworn in, Mechelle helped Judge Hullum into his judicial robe.
After winning the Republican primary election, and facing no opponent in the general election, Hullum takes over the county judge seat last filled by retiring Judge Rex Fields. Hullum has spent many years in law enforcement and had been Chief of Police for the City of Eastland for the past 7 years.
