Our beloved mother, Juanita Rosales Hamilton, passed away on February 22, 2023, at the age of 90. We are heartbroken, but we are so blessed to have had her in our lives. She will be deeply missed. Our family is grateful to know she is finally at peace.
Services will be held at St. Rita’s Catholic Church on March 2nd, 2023, with the Rosary starting at 9:30 am and the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. Interment will be at Evergreen Cemetery following Mass. Dinner will be provided at the St. Rita’s Parish Hall after the burial.
She was born on October 2nd, 1932, to Jose Rosales and Rafaela Alvarez Rosales. Juanita was a lifelong resident of Ranger. She had worked with the health care industry for the community which included serving as a caregiver and companion to the elderly. The Catholic Church was an important part of her life. Among other roles, she served as a member of the Finance Committee, past President of the St. Rita’s Altar Society, and Sacristan by preparing for celebration of the Mass.
Her hobbies included quilting, crochet, gardening, and painting. She often shared these items with the church for fund raising activities. Juanita loved her community and also worked with the Ranger Historical Preservation Society.
She was predeceased by her husband – Willie Paul Hamilton, her father- Jose Rosales, her mother – Rafaela Alvarez Rosales, brothers and one sister – Camillo Rosales, Angela Jimenez, Francisco Rosales, and her sons – Andrew Hamilton and Jimmy Hamilton. Juanita was survived by her children – Vivian Robichaud, Patricia Davis, Susan Butler, and Edward Hamilton. She was rich in family with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great, great grandchild.
Juanita requested that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Ranger, Texas.
