Jimmy Duran Hamilton, 72, a lifelong resident of Ranger, Texas and Army veteran, passed away on June 23, 2022 at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. Jimmy was born to Juanita Rosales and William Paul Hamilton of Ranger, Texas in 1949. 

Jimmy was a master mechanic and loved classic cars. He loved fishing along Lake Leon.  Jimmy loved history and enjoyed reading and watching westerns and was an avid arrowhead and flint collector. Jimmy was quick witted and loved to laugh. He had a great sense of humor and always loved to make people smile.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his father, Willie, his brother, Andrew, and his grandson, Grant. 

Jimmy is survived by his wife Sharon of Ranger; his children Eric and his wife Lorie; William and his husband Francisco; Joseph; Sarah and her husband Michael; Lisa; Stormy and her partner Michael; and Jaynee and her husband Caleb; his mother Juanita Hamilton; his sisters Susan Butler, Vivian Robichaud and Patsy Davis and his brother Edward Hamilton as well as 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. 

Rosary and viewing will take place at Edwards Funeral Home, 211 Pine Street Ranger, Texas on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 6pm until 8pm. Services will be at St. Rita’s Catholic Church, 1109 Blackwell Road, Ranger Texas on Tuesday, June 28th at 10am with interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Dinner will be at St Rita’s Catholic Church Parish Hall following interment.
