Jimmie Williams, 79 of Ranger, passed away Monday May 16, 2022 in Eastland. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19th at the Graham Building/Woodbridge Church in Ranger, Tx.
She was born July 1, 1942 in White Oaks, NM to Jim Stroud and Dorothy Cox Stroud. She graduated from Ranger High School. She provided Child care for many local children and was still lovingly referred to as Aunt Jim and Nannie by many. When her children reached their teens, she decided she needed a career and attended the LVN program at Ranger Jr. College. She worked at Ranger General Hospital, Ranger Care Center, and both facilities in Eastland for approximately 30 years. She married Jackie Williams on May 27, 1960 in Ranger, Tx. He preceded her in death. She attended Eastside Baptist Church. She loved outdoors, working in the yard, and rescuing kids and animals. In her later years she developed a passion for BINGO.
Survivors include a son, Richard Keith Williams and wife Linda; 2 daughters, Karrol Linn Williams, and Kamelia K. Williams; adopted daughter Chris Torrez and husband Henry, adopted son Braden Williams and wife Tommilee; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way.
She was proceeded in death by 1 grandson, Aaryn Ryn Williams.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cherokee Children’s Home or for bingo prizes at local nursing homes.
