Jeffrey Staggs, age 62, passed from this life to the next on November 1, 2023.

Jeffrey was born to Thomas Wayne Staggs and Mary Lou Jacobs in Sweetwater, Texas. Shortly after he was adopted by Rebecca Hamilton Staggs (Smith).

He enjoyed fishing and loved rodeo, especially bull riding. When he could no longer participate, he would volunteer and attend. Jeffrey cherished his church family, friends, and family.

He is survived by his daughter, Lachele Austin of Louisville; his brother, Shannon Staggs and wife Suzanne of Abilene; sister, Sheila (Staggs) Spears and husband Troy of Early. Jeffery Staggs is also survived by his grandchildren Gracie and Grayson Austin; nephews, Cameron Fulfer and Micheal Thurman; nieces, Kelly and Kayla Underwood and Lexi Thurman. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Thomas Wayne Staggs & Becky Hamilton Smith; his biological mother Mary Lou Jacobs; his brother, James Ray Staggs and his parental grandparents, Newt and Ruth Staggs.

The services for Jeffrey Wayne Staggs will be held on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at Leon River Cowboy Church and will begin at 10:30 AM with Robert Whitefield officiating. Burial will follow at Eastland City Cemetery at 11:30 AM in Eastland, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas.
