Elodia Domínguez Flores, 78, of Cisco, Texas, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on July 22nd, 2024. She was loved beyond measure by all of her family and friends and will be forever missed by all who knew her. Elodia was born in Edinburg, Texas, August 29, 1945 to Manuel and Elena Riojas Dominguez. She was one of fourteen siblings. Elodia’s education was short but her work ethic was very strong. She worked at the local glove factory and then in the medical field caring for many people. She continued to do so until retirement. When Joe, her husband died at the age of 41. She was left to raise 5 young children on her own. Elodia was a devoted faithful servant and was always praying for her family and for guidance.
Elodia is survived by her children Joe Flores lll and his wife Lisa, Paul Flores and his wife Kim, Manuel Flores and his wife Bridget, Anna Callahan and Josie Flores her two daughters. Elodia had many grandchildren Bryan and wife Christyn Sullivan, Brittany and husband Cole Mcllroy, Aeriole and husband Ric Stogner, Emily and husband Manny Inocencio, Abigail and husband Bryce Whiteley, Axel Flores, Brayden Flores and fiancée Loryn Henderson, Katelyn and fiancée Micheal Cadenhead Jaclyn Flores, Tyler Callahan and fiancée Jaclyne Grosse, SJ Callahan, Lauren Callahan, Emerson Flores and Olivia Flores. And seven (plus) magnificent great-grandchildren Colby, Cayson, Barrett, William, Kannyn, Henzley and Kohen and one blessing due in November. Her sister Aurora and husband Charlie Redding and Susie Lester and sister-in-laws Mary Dominguez and Johnnie Dominguez.
Elodia was preceded in death by her husband Joe M. Flores Jr, parents Manuel and Elena Dominguez, sisters Augustine Dominguez, Maria Dominguez, Florinda and husband E.G. “Chicho” Gamez, Lupe Hernandez, Mary Nila Daniels, brothers Arturo Dominguez, Abel and wife Lorraine Dominguez, Ameilo and wife Mary Dominguez, Albert Dominguez, Alex Dominguez, Amador Dominguez, nephews Bobby Hogue, Christopher Ortega, Joel Gamez, nieces Carol Perez and Cindy Barrett and one grandson Ryder Joe Flores.
Please join us at Edwards Funeral Home 411 S Mulberry St in Eastland, TX on Friday July 26th, 2024 for viewing from 6pm-7pm Rosary to follow at 7pm. Mass service will be at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Catholic Church 1108 Avenue F Cisco, TX Saturday July 27th, 2024 to celebrate the life of Elodia.
