The City of Eastland has been under Stage 1 Water Restrictions since August 16, 2022. The City was placed on the Odd/Even Watering Schedule effective that date. The conditions have not improved enough to resume regular watering schedules.
Currently addresses ending in an ODD number may water ONLY from 7 a.m to 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on SUNDAYS, TUESDAYS and THURSDAYS.
Addresses ending in an EVEN number may water ONLY from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on SATURDAYS, MONDAYS and WEDNESDAYS.
A review of utility accounts has revealed numerous residents with automatic sprinkler systems have not adjusted their systems to the above watering schedules. Current contract with the Eastland County Water Supply District allows for the City of Eastland to be penalized if our water usage does not reflect a decrease during a ECWSD Water Restriction period. This penalty would then be passed on to all city supplied water accounts.
If you have an automatic sprinkler system, please adjust the timing to coincide with your address’ watering schedule. It would be a shame if a few created an added expense for everyone.
