Blue Collar is an art exhibition at Lyric Art Center in Eastland. Four artists contemplate labor using materials ranging from clay and barbed wire to paint and charcoal. Gary Ford, Beth Pearson Lund, Kirstyn Wright, and Will Wright have varied practices, however, each of them finds inspiration in their West Texas surroundings. This is visible in choice of materials and subject matter. Motifs of barbed wire, cowboy hats, work boots, and wind turbines, weave throughout the artworks representing only a glimmer of labor in West Texas.
