
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Angelina (Martinez) Duncan, who left this world peacefully on April 12, 2025, in Ranger, TX. Born to Luis and Carolina (Castro) Martinez on July 9, 1956, Angelina was a cherished mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She was a proud member of the St. Rita Catholic Church in Ranger and carried the spirit of her faith with her throughout her life.
Angelina married the love of her life, Alexander Duncan, on November 24, 1990. They shared a beautiful life together until his passing on August 23, 2017. Angelina’s nurturing nature was a guiding light for her family, as she devoted herself entirely to the care of her children and loved ones. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the delicious aroma of her special sausage balls, which her family adored.
A true Dallas Cowboys fan, Angelina had a passion for watching games on television, as well as enjoying her favorite Hallmark and HDTV shows. She found joy in word search puzzles and cherished her time spent tending to her plants. Family gatherings were her favorite, as she loved cooking for those she cared for dearly.
Angelina is survived by her sons: Roy Olgin and wife, Amanda of Midland, Ruben Olgin and wife, Sandra of Midland, Robert Olgin and wife, Danica of Weatherford, Eddie Olgin of Ranger and Alexander Duncan, Jr. of Ranger; her daughter, Carol Garcia and husband, Michael of Eastland; her brothers, Robert “Blue” Martinez and Rickey Martinez; her sister, Celia Meja and husband, Joel; as well as her beloved grandchildren: Emily Olgin, Michael Garcia, Jr., Mariza Olgin, Mathias Olgin, Zayne Thomas, Jagger Thomas, Maxxon Olgin, Carson Duncan and Nolan Duncan.
Pallbearers are: Roy Olgin, Ruben Olgin, Robert Olgin, Eddie Olgin, Alexander Duncan, Michael Garcia, Michael Garica, Jr. and Andrew Martinez.
Honorary pallbearers are: Mariza Olgin, Emily Olgin, Mathias Olgin, Maxxon Olgin, Jagger Thomas and Zayne Thomas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at St. Rita Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Pudota officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, followed by a visitation.
Angelina’s spirit and legacy of love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her family finds comfort in the memories they have shared and the love she imparted to each of them. She will be profoundly missed.
Angelina was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Carolina Martinez; brother, Luis Martinez and her husband, Alexander Duncan.
