Graveside Services for Della Ann Fox Bowles, 75, of Eastland will be 10 AM, Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Merriman Cemetery in Ranger, Texas with Randy Beggs officiating.
Della passed peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at her home. She was born December 3, 1948 in San Antonio, TX to Adra Lee and Evelyn (Crowell) Fox. Della worked as a nurse for 34 years, and was most remembered as a dedicated, loving, and hardworking home health and hospice nurse to the many patients and families of Eastland County.
Della held an inherited green thumb, infectious laugh, and an open ear to all that knew and confided in her. She will be remembered for the way her eyes lit as she recited a story, endless antiquing, and selflessly taking in those that needed “someone who cared”, just as she held a permanent and open place in her heart for those lost.
She was a lover of her family, the shorelines of Texas, and the full moon. Her passion for cooking, repurposing, and America were abundant, and the pride and adoration she felt for her children and grandchildren never went unnoticed.
She is preceded in death by her beloved Son, Aaron Bowles; Mother, Evelyn Fox; Father, Adra Lee Fox, and Brother, Greg Fox.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Miller of Eastland, TX; her son, Dylan Bowles and wife Jesse of Jonesboro, TX; one sister, Elaine Fox and husband Lonny Beggs of Eastland, TX, 4 grandchildren, Tyler Cox and wife Heather of Midland, Texas , Parker Purvis and wife Tara of Dallas, Texas, and Bront and Gracyn Bowles of Jonesboro, Texas, and one great-grandchild Memphis Purvis of Dallas, Texas.
Thank you to all of the nursing and medical staff in the treatment and care of Della, especially Dr. Deluca.
The family requests monetary donations be made to Aaron Bowles Scholarship Fund, 204 River North Blvd. Stephenville, Texas 76401.
