Jolene Treadway Johnson was born on January 25, 1935 in Colorado City to Oscar and Eva Treadway. She joined her Lord and love of her life on January 17, 2024. She attended school in Carbon, TX. Jolene married Bryan Lee Johnson on September 5, 1951 at age 16. She loaded up and moved to El Paso to be near Bryan as he served his country in the Army. She moved back to Eastland upon his orders to serve in the Korean War.  Jolene and Bryan welcomed their only child, Deborah in 1955.  She spent many years working at Safeway before completing cosmetology school at Cisco Jr. College. She enjoyed many years teasing hair, giving permanents, and making Eastland women beautiful in her beauty shop at home. In her spare time, you could find her baking pecan pies, making peanut brittle or wild plum jelly, shelling peas or pecans on the front porch, and most importantly to her, chasing and spoiling her grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great granddaughter. She was the epitome of loyalty and love.

Jolene was preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Lee, her parents, her siblings, Winfred, Orville, Shorty, Mary Nell and Emma. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Kilpatrick and husband Benny; grandchildren Bandi Jones and husband Brock, Brent Kilpatrick and wife Desiree; great-grandchildren Mackenzie, Brighlon (Michael), Brenham (Kilee), Bryant, Owen, Ace; great-great granddaughter Harleigh; sisters-in-law Linda Sadler, Marjorie Treadway, and Joann Johnson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, at Edwards Funeral Home, Eastland, TX from 1:00-3:00. Funeral Services will be Monday, January 22 at the Eastland Church of Christ at 10:30AM with Larry Roberts officiating. Burial will take place at Simpson Cemetery, Gorman, TX. Jolene was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She will be missed dearly.
