Barbara DeAnn (Rhodes) Light, 85, a retired Secretary, passed from this life on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in Cisco, Texas.

Barbara was born on April 7, 1938, in Dalhart, Texas to Jim Rhodes and Frances Adeline Ross. She married Carl Francis Light in Eastland, Texas, and they were married for 41 years. Barbara was a member of Mitchell Baptist Church. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Light; sons, Cameron Dewey Light of Eastland, Texas, James Michael Scott (Pattie) of Keller, Texas, and Landon Whitehead of Cisco, Texas; daughters, Debra “Debbie” Berryman (Mark) of Leadville, Colorado, Stephanie Lynn Proffitt of Ranger, Texas, Kathy Jo Scott of Keller, Texas, and Darlene Belguard of Cisco, Texas, and Lilly Whitehead of Cisco, Texas.; brother, Bobby Rhodes (Marilyn) of McKinney Texas.; grandchildren, Corrie, Dustin, Jimmy, Brittany, Crystal, Zoey, Trevor, Delisa, Kristina and Thomas; great-grandchildren, Charliegh, Sawyer, Sarah, Kylie, Shaylynn, Gunner, River, Riley, Bailey, Bristal, River Lynn, Erin, Isaiah, and Devyn; great-great-grandchildren, Tyson and Maddox and lots of nieces and nephews she loved dearly, as she did all her family.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, December 8, 2023, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Howard Stovall officiating.
