On June 19th at 12:19 pm. a 2017 Dodge Journey traveling north on US Highway 183 eight miles north of Cisco drifted off the roadway through the unimproved shoulder until striking a drainage culvert and overturning.

The driver, Nubia Maris Martinez-Castillo, a 42-year-old female of Graham, was reported to be stable but sustained incapacitating injuries.

A passenger, Margarita Castillo, a 67-year-old female, from Graham, Texas, was also reported to be in stable condition but received incapacitating injuries.

Both were wearing seatbelts.

Two children ages 5 and 3 were passengers sitting in car seats in the back seat sitting. The 5-year-old was unrestrained in a car seat and the 3-year-old was not properly restrained. Both were ejected from the vehicle. The 5-year-old was reported to be in stable condition with incapacitating injuries. The 3-year-old was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace John Glenn.
