Alan Ray Barton, 71 went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2022. Alan was born on May 30, 1951, in Dublin, Texas to Leon and Kathleen Jacks Barton.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leon and Kathleen Barton.
Alan is survived by his brother Jerry Barton and wife Peggy. Son, Dee Barton and wife Melissa. Daughters, Bridgett Hale and husband Kevin, Summer Jenkins and husband Robert, Shelley Barton, Tootie Hickman and husband Ron. Grandchildren, Hayley Barton (Dylan), Huntley Barton Perez (Alex), Mark Savage, Megan Savage, Lauren Barton, Hunter Hale, Huston Hale, Tahya Ruelas (Derek), Aly Ruelas (Maurice), Manny Ruelas, Alexandria Toth (Daniel), BethAnn Harden (Ashley), Aron Hickman (Kensey), Kenton Hickman (Alexandria), Brendon Hickman (Vivian), Cagan Blakeley, Harley Blakeley and Bo Hickman. Great-grandchildren, Whittley, Willow, Maddux, Cruz, Sophia, Daniel, Christian, Taylor, DJ, Uriah, Yumi, Xyon, Kamari, Kaccey, Iven, Kahley, Mason, Owen and baby McCain on the way.
Alan, affectionately known as Pa, will be greatly missed by all, including his beloved dog, Sandy.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, at 11am at Edward’s Funeral Home at 215 Housley St, Strawn, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Mount Marion Cemetery in Strawn.
