Frederic Earl Mitchell was called home on July 18th 2022. Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23rd at Crosspoint Community Church in Ranger with Buster Robinson officiating. Visitation is Friday, July 22nd at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger.
Fred was born on June 27th 1944 to Walter Thomas Mitchell & Jeane Elizabeth Hatter.
Fred was drafted & proudly served in the United States Navy as a SeaBee and a Boatswain during the Vietnam War. Fred was honorably discharged on June 4th 1965. Fred was a very good cook and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Fred’s very best friend was his cat “Callie” Fred worked for the Ranger Housing Authority for 23 years as the maintenance supervisor.
Fred is survived by his brother Jimmy Mitchell & wife Judy of Wichita Falls, Tx.
His sisters Tommie Jeane Lindsey & husband Don of Wichita Falls, Tx, & Annette Simmons & husband Greg of Rowlette, Tx.
Son Freddy Mitchell.
Daughter Shanna Nuttall & husband Rick of Ranger.
