Greer’s Western Store received the honor of Eastland Chamber Business of the Month for May. Friday, May 20th, Chamber members were invited to drop by, have some pizza, mingle, and shop.
Family-owned and operated, Greer’s Western Store was initially opened as a boot shop in Ranger in 1935, eventually adding apparel to its offerings. Jerry and Pat Greer took over operations in Ranger in the 60s. They added a second store, Greer’s Fashion, offering contemporary apparel for the entire family, which opened on the square in Eastland in 1981. In 1998, Jerry moved Greer’s Western Store from Ranger to its current location in Eastland. After Jerry passed away in 2005, Pat added on to the back of the Western Store building to combine the two stores under one roof, back-to-back. . Today their daughter, Leslie Pitts, is the owner, but Pat has yet to retire. Pat still shows up for work daily sporting that big glad-to-see-you smile.
Be sure and stop by to shop at Greer’s for western apparel, the latest women’s fashion, shoes, and jewelry.
The store is located at 1414 E. Main Street in Eastland, phone 254-629-3989. Follow them on Facebook.
