Today we have Very High fire danger. Please prevent any sparks from occurring.
Cause: Under Investigation
Yesterday, good progress was made by crews to find and extinguish interior pockets of heat. Containment has increased on the Kidd Fire and there was minimal fire activity around the perimeters of the surrounding fires. Today, there will be more moisture due to potential rain and thunderstorms. Despite the rain, winds will persist throughout the week and fire danger will remain high. Work will continue along the perimeter of the fires and firefighters will make the most of the weather to further containment.
