The following is the case report for last 10 days in Eastland County

These are from tests performed at Eastland Memorial Hospital, B and W Clinic, and Family Health Clinic only. There may be verbal reports of cases at various businesses as well as home testing kits. These are not included in the 191 cases since we have no written reports. There are multiple cases in the Eastland County nursing homes (Cisco, Eastland, and Ranger).
The Omicron variant is transmitted much faster than the previous strains of the virus, however, it does not seem as virulent. We have had a few deaths reported and still have several admissions to the hospital. There have been staff shortages in the various medical facilities due to covid illnesses.
Please take all precautions to lower the spread of this illness. That includes getting vaccinated, wearing a mask, and keeping distance.
