Mary Ringo of Gordon

GORDON – Mary Ringo, 98, of Gordon passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in Stephenville. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Gordon with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the New Gordon Cemetery.

Mrs. Ringo was born on December 22, 1911 in Gordon to John & Myra (Witt) Merriman. She married Everett Ringo on January 9, 1929. She was a homemaker, a member of the First Baptist Church and had worked in the Gordon school cafeteria for many years, retiring in 1976. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett; a son, John; and a great-granddaughter, Tiffany.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Lucille Barron of Gordon; 2 grandsons, Clifford Barron of Gordon and Jimmy Barron of Tolar; 3 great-grandsons, Mike Barron, Montie Barron and Brad Barron; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Brady, Brock, Baileigh & Brylee; and a sister, Oma Sperling of Gordon.

Memorials donations in Mary’s name may be made to the Tri-City Ambulance Service.
