Dorothy Williams Formerly of Eastland

EASTLAND – Dorothy Williams, 81, of Early and formerly of Eastland, passed away Friday, June 18, 2010 in Early.  Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 20 at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time.

Dorothy was born January 27, 1929 in Humble, TX to Vernon and Helen (Urban) Howard. She met and married Charlie Howard in 1951 in Humble, TX. They lived in Clute while Charlie worked for Dow Chemical. They returned to Eastland to raise their children. Dorothy was active in the PTO. She took many years of Art from various places and was a member of the Eastern Star. Dorothy enjoyed painting landscape from photos that she took and was also a member of the Eastland and Eastland Co. Art Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her sons, Steve Williams and wife Kathy of Brownwood and Ray Williams of Comanche, grandchildren, Clarrisa Gonsalez and husband Argelio of Eastland and Carrie Williams of Austin and two great-grandchildren.
