Water Tower Demolition Begins
Soon to be part of Eastland’s past are the two standpipes, or water towers, located on Park Hill. The small tower on the right is being dismantled to make way for a new modern and taller water storage tower that should be ready for use this time next year
Crews began to dismantle the small water storage standpipe at the Eastland City Park on Monday. Weather permitting they should have the metal cut and down by Thursday of this week. Once the foundation is removed work should begin on the new water storage tank that will replace the standpipes.
