Cisco College Health Sciences Open House, Feb. 19
CISCO, Texas – The Cisco College Health Sciences Division will host an open house, Feb. 19 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Cisco College, Abilene Educational Center.
Following the welcome from Dr. Carol Dupree, provost of the Abilene Educational Center and Dr. Colleen Smith, president of Cisco College, participants will be able to visit clinical lab simulations, tour the campus, see the Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter (circumstances permitting), visit with the college’s students and faculty and learn about the second-floor expansion project that will create the Health Sciences Wing.
“We look forward to showing people about all of the exciting things going on at Cisco College,” said Jackolyn Morgan, health sciences division chair. “Our programs provide local employers with qualified employees and provide students with an opportunity to enter an expanding health career field.”
Through the Health Sciences Division, Cisco College offers programs in nursing, respiratory therapy, surgical technology, pharmacy technology, medical assisting and biotechnology. The college educates over 500 health science studentsannually and will be able to accommodate an additional 300 students once the second-floor expansion project is complete.
With over 4,200 students, Cisco College is the largest two-year college in West Central Texas.
