Central Texas Childcare Conference

Eastland County Agrilife Extension Agent Haylee Mitchell reports The 2009 Central Texas Child
Care conference will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. in the O.A.Grant Humanities Building on the campus of Tarleton State University. The Central Texas Child Care Conference is a col-laborative effort between Texas AgriLife Extension Service and Tarleton State University.This year’s conference will feature a dynamic and motivational keynote speaker, Anne Barab, who will teach us about resilience using humor. She has served as a school board member for one of the top 100 school districts in the United States. She has also been the CEO of a billion dollar mortgage bank and contributing author to two popular books: Humor Us! and The Leadership PathCost for the conference is $20 and is due by August 28, 2009. The conference will provide 5 hours of in-service training credit. Five (5) CEU’s will be given for an additional charge of $10 per person if desired and must be noted on registration form.
